We humans farm and hunt in all places of the earth and rely on the abundance of plants and animals that have evolved to form our ecosystem in which we live. I’m thankful for having been born and living on a planet with so much abundance. I am thankful for those who labor so that I have sustenance.
I am thankful for my parents and all the people who have contributed to my life. I live in a social network of love and support even when I have conflicts with others. I am thankful that life has it limitations since abuse arises whenever inequality in power overcomes compassion. Having receive the gift of life from my parents, I gratefully pass it on to my children and grandchildren to experience.
I am thankful for the obligations that are expected from me for it means I can contribute to the wellbeing of this planet and the life that has evolved and will continue to evolve, and the species to which I’m a member. I’m thankful for the freedom I have to explore the universe from its smallest particles to the emergence of life from its matter to the astronomical expanse of its space without being restricted by the authority of belief in divine revelations.
I am thankful that I can feel love and acceptance for others that I may never know just because they are human and contribute to the enrichment of a diverse culture of local and global customs that make communication interesting and inspiring.
